Common questions
What level do I need?+
Small-group courses cover three levels: Survival Chinese suits complete beginners to around HSK1, Real Talk Chinese suits learners around HSK2, and Speaking & Expression suits learners around HSK3. Groups are matched by similar level and a shared weekly schedule. 1:1 lessons work for any level. HSK levels are only a guide — your teacher confirms the right fit.
Do you offer a trial lesson?+
Yes. We offer a 25-minute 1:1 trial lesson for US$10 or CNY 50. If you enrol in a regular 1:1 lesson package afterwards, the full trial fee will be deducted from your package total.
How are lessons taught?+
All lessons are live online with a real teacher, focused on speaking and real-life situations, with feedback along the way.
How many students are in a group?+
Between 2 and 6 students in total per class.
When do group courses start?+
Group enrollment is ongoing. Classes start when at least two suitable learners confirm the same weekly schedule.
What happens while I wait for a group?+
You can wait up to one month with a deposit of US$15 / ¥99 CNY. It's credited to your course fee when the group starts, and refunded if no group forms within a month.
Does the free assessment sign me up?+
No. Submitting the assessment doesn't enroll you, charge anything, or place you on a waitlist. It simply helps us recommend a path.
